Cat cafe fanatic 🥵. Also a border collie person. The future kitten is called Pixie in English; the Chinese name will be revealed on the day they arrive.

Maine Coon or Ragdoll?
Pixie is the public name for now, a tiny bit of bait for curiosity. The Chinese name stays sealed until the day he or she finally arrives.
before Pixie
Two almost-mine cats.
My family had cats twice before, both rescued strays. My parents did most of the raising, so I never fully count them as mine. Still, they left very real paw prints in my memory.
Lai Fu · 来福
Lai Fu (来福), which honestly sounds like a dog name.
He came home the day before one of my final exams. That evening I lay on my bedroom floor and talked to him, absurdly happy. The next day I ranked first in that exam, so maybe Lai Fu was my first academic collaboration.
Xiao Maqiu · 小麻球
Winter kittens on the car hood.
Another time, in winter, a mother cat placed her kittens on the hood of our family car to borrow the engine's warmth.
The white kitten was originally called Xiao Maqiu (小麻球). He got sick and left for another world far too early, so his black brother inherited the name. I always thought 小麻球 sounded like the name of a black cat anyway. In a strange little way, the name found its right owner.
